One Day Karakuri Lake Tour from Kashgar

At around 9:00 am, your Kashgar tour guide and driver will pick you up at your Kashgar hotel and drive southwest along the G314 National Highway for about 3 hours to Karakuri Lake. It is a scenic drive with snow-capped mountains, grasslands and Danxia landforms. On the way, you will also pass by the White Sand Lake, whose fantastic scenery is also unforgettable.

Located on the Pamir Plateau at an altitude of 3,656 meters, Karakuri Lake is the largest natural lake on the Eastern Pamir Plateau and is known as the “Pearl of the Plateau”. The lake is deep and dark, surrounded by rich grass and trees, and the “Father of Icebergs” Muztag Ata together constitute a beautiful picture.

After arriving at Lake Karakuri, you can take a walk along the lake’s edge and take pictures of the lake and mountains. The color of the lake changes with the sunlight throughout the day, from blue in the morning to golden red in the evening, which is particularly spectacular.
