Day-to-day Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Altay

Ni Hao! So happy to see you on our 5-day North Xinjiang Highlights tour! Your private driver will wait for you at the airport terminal exit by holding a welcome sign with your name on it. Then you will be driven to a local guesthouse and have a good rest. The rest of the day is free at your disposal.

Day 2 Altay to Kanas Lake Tour
Enjoy the Natural Beauty of Bays of Kanas Lake

In the morning, meet your guide and driver in the hotel and drive to Jiadengyu. On the way, we will pass by the Stone Statues which stand near the cemeteries or tombs and their history can be dated back to 3000 years ago.

In the early afternoon, arrive at Kanas Lake. After lunch, our guide will escort you to hike around the lake area for sightseeing. The highlight sites you will cover include: Laying Dragon Bay, Immortal Bay, and Moon Bay.

Day 3 Kanas Lake to Hemu Village Tour
Understand the Tuwa People and Capture the Views of Hemu

Get up in the early morning to appreciate the sunrise and spend some free time here. After that, you will board the car and then continue your North Xinjiang tour toward Hemu Village where the major villagers are Tuwa People. The village lies not far from Kanas Lake. The most eye-catching things in the village are the rows of wooden houses, the horse herds, the surrounding snow peaks, the forest, the grassland, the blue sky, and the white clouds.

Day 4 Hemu Village to Altay Tour
Wander in the Hemu Village to Explore the Life of the Villagers

In the morning, we will wander in the Hemu Village to explore the life of the villagers. After lunch, you will be escorted back to Altay.

Day 5 Altay Departure

Our driver will meet you at hotel at the confirmed time. Then you will be escorted to the airport for departure.
