    Day 1Kashgar Arrival

    Upon your arrival, our guide and driver will greet you at airport by holding the board with your name. Then transfer to your hotel and enjoy free time in the rest of the day.

    Day 2Kashgar – Karakul Lake (Breakfast + Lunch)

    After hotel breakfast the guide and driver will meet you in hotel lobby. Then we will drive along the Karakurum Highway to Karakul Lake. The car riding would be an excellent chance to see the scenery on the way. The Opal Village, the Oytagh Red Mountain, and the Corner Lake are the highlight sites you may meet on the way. Karakul Lake is surrounded by the mountain who wears snow cap almost all year round. The tranquil lake and it’s surrounding environment makes a big contrast to the bustling city area.

    Day 3Karakul Lake – Tashkurgan – Kashgar (Breakfast + Lunch)

    In the morning we will drive to Tashkurgan. Tashkurgan is a frontier town locating on Pamir Plateau. Since its isolation, the small town is less troubled by modern business. So you will see an tranquil scenery in the village. After arrival we will pay a visit to the 2000 years old Stone Fort in downtown area. it used to be the palace of the Tajik Kingdom in ancient time. Then the guide will company you to trek in the surrounding area to enjoy the scenery of Mt. Mutztah Ata and Mt. Pamir. After the hiking drive back to Kashgar.

    Day 4Kashgar (Breakfast + Lunch)

    After hotel breakfast your guide will meet you at hotel lobby and transfer to visit Old Town of Kashgar. It covers an area of 4.25 km2. Walking in the interlaced lanes visitors will see many nearly 100 years old folk houses. Walking out the Old Town we will pay a visit to Sunday Market (Sunday Bazaar), the largest international trade market on the northwest boundary line of China. Then you will head for Id Kah Mosque, a typical Islamic architecture like domes, minarets and arches, as well as pious prayers. It has a 500 years history. Then pay a visit to Abakh Khoja Tomb, an ancient Islamic building complex and a cemetery where five generations of famous Islamic masters were buried. After the tour transfer to hotel.

    Day 5Kashgar – Yarkand (Breakfast + Lunch)

    After breakfast we will drive to Yarkand. In Yarkand, we will visit two highlight attractions. The first one is Yarkand Golden Grave Yard. The grave yard covers an area of 1050m2. Though the graves are all centuries old, they are all well preserved. After then you will pay a visit to the Yarkand Old Town where you will see how the county looks like in old days.

    Day 6Yarkand – Hotan (Breakfast + Lunch)

    In the morning we will continue the tour to Hotan. Your Hotan tour will start with the visit to the Hotan Bazaar. Just like many other rural bazaars in Xinjiang, Hotan Bazaar is also most bustling on Sundays. In history, Hetian is one of the major places that produce jade. Hotan Jade is of high quality. Today we will pay a visit to the White Jade Factory to see the manufacturing process of jade artworks and appreciate some delicate jade subjects. Then we will pay a visit to Hotan Museum to learn about the local area’s past.

    Day 7Hotan – Aksu (Breakfast + Lunch)

    Today we will spend full day to drive on the Taklimakan Desert Highway. The Highway is named after the desert through which the highway travel. Taklimakan Desert is the largest desert in China and the 2nd largest shifting sands desert in the world. The desert used to be the home of many little states in Xinjiang area. In the late afternoon we will arrive in Aksu.

    Day 8Kucha Departure (Breakfast + Lunch)

    After hotel breakfast, we will drive for about 1 hour to Kizil Thousand Buddha Grottoes. It locates 70km from Kucha Township. The Buddhist caves here were excavated from the 3rd century to the 13th century. 236 caves and 10000m2 murals are preserved. In some expert’s mind, that Buddhist grottoes is more valuable than Mogao Grottoes. Then drive to visit Subashi Ruins, one of the important cultural relics of Qiuzi Kingdom. The city appeared in the 1st Century BC and in the 6th-8th Century the city welcomed its peak time. In the 14th Century, the city was ruined by wars. At last you will take a flight back to Urumqi.
