After hotel breakfast, you will firstly visit the Abakh Khoja Tomb which used to be the family graveyard of the powerful ruler, Abakh Khoja, in 17th century. Next you will visit the Id Kah Mosque which is the holy land for the Muslims. Every day, there are thousands of Muslims worshipping here. In the history, Id Kah Mosque used to be a school where taught Islam culture. Many scholars and honored clergies graduated from here. Then transfer to next attraction – the famous Sunday Bazaar. As one of the most importance cities along the Silk Road, Kashgar has always been a very important trading center. Even in today, Kashgar Bazaar is still the busiest bazaars in Xinjiang. Today we will pay a full day tour to Karakuri Lake. After hotel breakfast, drive for about 3 hours we will arrive at the lake spot. The lake is surrounded by the mountain who wears snow cap almost all year round. The tranquil lake and it’s surrounding environment makes a big contrast to the bustling city area. In the morning pick up from hotel and transfer to airport for flight to Urumqi. Upon arrival in Urumqi met by local driver and guide and transfer to take the car to Turpan. Check in at local hotel. Accommodation:Turpan
Today’s sightseeing covering Jiaohe Ruins in the morning. Jiaohe Ruins was once the biggest and oldest city built on rammed earth, dating back to 2nd century BC. The next stop will be the hottest place in China– the Flaming Hill, situated at the north of ancient Silk Road. The temperature is so high that nothing grows on the hill. The record highest temperature of summer could reach 47.8 ℃ (118 ℉). At last visit the Karez Well— an amazing underground irrigation system which made Turpan a rich oasis. Take an overnight train to Liuyuan for Dunhang. Accommodation: On the train
Arrival in Liuyuan early in the morning, met by the tour guide from Dunhuang and drive 150km to Dunhuang to check in your hotel in Dunhuang. Then transfer to visit the Echoing-Sand Mountain. When you slide down the slope, you can hear the roaring echo of sands, hence the name. A short Camel Ride (optional) will leave you a unforgettable memory. Riding along the mountain to reach the Crescent Lake, your eyes will be feasted on the crescent-shaped spring surrounded by the endless Gobi desert. Then back to Dunhuang city hotel. Today we will visit the most notable attraction in Dunhuang, the Mogao Caves, one of the four most famous caves in China. The grottoes, also known as Caves of the Thousand Buddha, preserve nearly a thousand years of Buddhist cave temple architecture, clay sculpture, mural paintings, and manuscripts, dating from the 5th to the 14th centuries. And in Tourist Reception Center, which functions as Digital Exhibition Center now, tourists will see two 20-minute long digital movies to have an overall understand of Silk Road Tour. Service ends here, and transfers to train station or airport to depart Dunhuang.
