8 Days Mysterious Xinjiang Tour

Day 1 Hotan Arrival

Upon your arrival, our guide and driver will greet you at airport by holding the board with your name. Then transfer to your hotel and enjoy free time in the rest of the day.

Hotan Museum

Day 2 Hotan (Breakfast + Lunch)

Your Hotan tour will start with the visit to the Hotan Bazaar. Just like many other rural bazaars in Xinjiang, Hotan Bazaar is also most bustling on Sundays. In history, Hetian is one of the major places that produce jade. Hotan Jade is of high quality. Today we will pay a visit to the White Jade Factory to see the manufacturing process of jade artworks and appreciate some delicate jade subjects. Then we will pay a visit to Hotan Museum to learn about the local area’s past.

Day 3 Hotan – Yarkand (Breakfast + Lunch)

After breakfast we will drive to Yarkand. In Yarkand, we will visit two highlight attractions. The first one is Yarkand Golden Grave Yard. The grave yard covers an area of 1050m2. Though the graves are all centuries old, they are all well preserved. After then you will pay a visit to the Yarkand Old Town where you will see how the county looks like in old days.

Kashgar Old Town

Day 4 Yarkand – Kashgar (Breakfast + Lunch)

In the morning board the car and drive to Kashgar. On the way you will pay a visit to the Uyghur Knife Factory. Knife is the important part of Uyghur folk culture. A pretty knife is the must-have thing for each Uyghur people. When arriving in Kashgar, we will have lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch, take a walk in the Old Town of Kashgar to see the old style folk houses and the life of local people. Then you will head for Id Kah Mosque, a typical Islamic architecture like domes, minarets and arches, as well as pious prayers. It has a 500 years history.

Abakh Khoja Tomb

Day 5 Kashgar (Breakfast + Lunch)

Today we will spend one whole day to visit the highlight sites of Kashgar. The first stop would be Sultan Sutuk Boghrahans Tomb. Sultan Sutuk Boghrahan was the third King of Kalahan Kingdom and he was the first Uyghur people accepted Islam. The Tomb will be followed by the Mor Buddhist Pagoda, the only existed Buddhist pagoda in Kashgar. Then pay a visit to Abakh Khoja Tomb, an ancient Islamic building complex and a cemetery where five generations of famous Islamic masters were buried. The last stop would be Sunday Market. the largest international trade market on the northwest boundary line of China.

Sugong Pagoda

Day 6 Kashgar – Urumqi by Flight – Tupran by Car (Breakfast + Lunch)

In the early morning take the flight to Uurmqi. At Urumqi airport, met by local guide and driver. Then drive to Turpan and pay a visit to Karez Well — an amazing underground irrigation system which made Turpan a rich oasis. Followed by Sugong Pagoda, the largest existed ancient Islamic pagoda in Xinjiang. At last we will visit Jiaohe Ruins which was once the biggest and oldest city built on rammed earth, dating back to 2nd century BC. In the evening have dinner in a local Uighur family.

Bezklik Grottoes

Day 7 Turpan – Urumqi by Car (Breakfast)
In the morning, pick up by driver and guide from your hotel and start to days tour with Bezklik Grottoes to appreciate the Buddhist relics in Xinjiang and next move to Astana Tombs which is called “Underground Museum of Turpan Area”. The 500 tombs will tell you detailed information of ancient Gaochang Kingdom. Afterwards transfer to visit Tuyuq Village where you will see vineyards, orchards, narrow roads and irrigation channels stretch through local earth-and-brick houses while taking walk. Finally pay a visit to the Flaming Mountain to feel the temperature of the hottest place in China. Transfer back to Urumqi and visit International Bazaar. After that back to hotel.

Day 8 Urumqi Departure (Breakfast)

Please enjoy your free time till hotel pickup by guide and driver. They will meet you at confirmed time and escort you to airport for departing flight.
