An unique tour package that covers the staring point and ending point of Silk Road tour in China. After visiting highlights in Xian, we will fly to Urumqi and visit the three major tourist cities in Xinjiang: Urumqi, Turpan and Kashgar and finally end the tour in Dunhuang.

10 Days Silk Road Tour

Day 1 Xian Arrival (No Meals)
Our driver and guide will wait for you at the airport terminal exit or train station exit by holding a welcome sign with your name on it. Then you will be driven to the hotel and have a good rest. The rest of the day is free at your disposal. Accommodation: Xian


Day 2 Xian ( Breakfast+Lunch+Dinner)

Terracotta Warriors and Horses

Our English speaking tour guide will pick you up from the hotel lobby in the morning. Then after a short visit to Terracotta Figures Factory which focuses on reproduction of Terracotta figures, you will be directly transfer to the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses. Known as “the eighth Wonders of the world”, the museum shows a surprisingly high level in sculpture, which is the most significant discovers of the 20th century. The splendid scene and format will leave you an impressive memory. After lunch, continuing visiting the Xian Ancient City Wall. It is the most complete preserved and the largest city wall in China. It was built for the military defense in the ancient time. Since it is cycling the city, visitors can ride a bike around the city wall (optional). Last come to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is a worship place for Buddhists. The pagoda was originally built to hold sutras and figurines of the Buddha that Xuanzang brought back to China from India. Now the Big Wild Goose Pagoda have been built a big Garden, where people can have a retreat.
In the evening, you will enjoy the dumpling banquet for dinner. The dumpling banquet will be both view and taste feast. After the dinner, you will watch the Tang Dynasty Show, the most favorable night activity for ones Xian tour. At last, transfer back to the hotel at about 21:30. Accommodation: Xian


Day 3 Xian to Urumqi by Flight ( Breakfast+Lunch )
After breakfast, you will tour the Shaanxi History Museum which is one the biggest museums in China housing the cultural heritage of Shaanxi Province and shows the development of the Chinese civilization. Afterwards escorted to airport for flight to Urumqi. Upon arrival, met by local driver and guide and transfer to hotel. Accommodation: Urumqi


Heavenly Lake

Day 4 Urumqi to Kashgar by Flight( Breakfast+Lunch )
Pick up from hotel and transfer to visit Heavenly Lake. Tourists could optionally do a cruise on the lake. It will make you totally relaxed no matter you are sitting in a boat, walking in the mountains, or just standing by the lake. Then transfer to airport for flight to Kashgar. Upon arrival met by local driver and guide and transfer to hotel. Accommodation: Urumqi


Day 5 Kashgar ( Breakfast+Lunch )
Today we will d a full day to Karakuri Lake which has an altitude of 3600 meters and has the snow cap all year around. At the same time, you will appreciate the landscape of Pamirs. That lake locates at foot of an iceberg which remains snow-covered all year round. Sorrounding the lake is the broad grassland dotted with cattle and sheep herds. Then back to Kashgar hotel. Accommodation: Kashgar


Abakh Khoja Tomb

Day 6 Kashgar to Urumqi by Flight ( Breakfast+Lunch )
After hotel breakfast we will start today’s tour with Id Kah Mosque, a typical Islamic architecture like domes, minarets and arches, as well as pious prayers. It has a 500 years history. Then pay a visit to the Old Street to see what the place looks like in ancient time. Afterwards continue to Abakh Khoja Tomb, an ancient Islamic building complex and a cemetery where five generations of famous Islamic masters were buried. Then we will pay a visit to Sunday Market, also known as Sunday Bazaar, the largest international trade market on the northwest boundary line of China. At last transfer to airport for flight to Urumqi. Upon arrival in Urumqi met by local driver and guide and transfer to hotel. Accommodation: Urumqi


Day 7 Urumqi to Turpan ( Breakfast+Lunch )
In the morning pick up from hotel and transfer Turpan. After a short rest we will drive to the Jiaohe Ruins, one of the most important towns along the ancient Silk Road and the largest, oldest and best-preserved earth construction in the world. Then back to hotel. Accommodation: Turpan


Sugong Pagoda

Day 8 Turpan to Dunhuang by Soft Sleeper Train ( Breakfast+Lunch )
In the morning check out hotel and transfer to visit Bizaklik Thousand Buddha Cave, a series of caves with thousands of Buddhism murals. The vivid murals show many Buddhism figures, stories, and the social life about 1,000 years ago. After lunch, we will visit Sugong Pagoda, the largest existed ancient Islamic pagoda in Xinjiang. Afterward transfer to train station to catch the overnight soft sleeper train to Urumqi. Accommodation: Soft Sleeper Train


Crescent Lake

Day 9 Dunghuang ( Breakfast+Lunch )
Our driver and guide will wait for you at the airport terminal exit or train station exit by holding a welcome sign with your name on it. Then you will be driven to the hotel and have a short rest. Then drive to visit the Mogao Caves. one of the four most famous caves in China. The grottoes, also know as Caves of the Thousand Buddha, preserve nearly a thousand years of Buddhist cave temple architecture, clay sculpture, mural paintings, and manuscripts, dating from the 5th to the 14th centuries. Later in afternoon, we will visit Crescent Lake to appreciate the never dried lake in heart of dessert. At last back to hotel. Accommodation: Dunhuang


Day 10 Dunhuang Departure ( Breakfast )
According to the flight/train time, your guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer to airport or train station to depart Dunhuang.
