Day 2 Urumqi (Breakfast+Lunch)
After hotel breakfast, start to visit the Lake of Heavenwhere you would have a pleasant boating). If you take your tour in winter, the lake will provide an ideal alpine skating rink. Back to the City in the afternoon and continue to stroll around the Erdaoqiao Grand Bazaar which is the place with the unique construction located in two bridges, it attracts the lots of tourists to visit, shopping and watch the traditional dancing. Day 3 Urumqi to Kashgar by Flight (Breakfast+Lunch)
Pick up from your hotel in the morning and transfer to airport for your flight to Kashgar, the pearl on the ancient Silk Road. Upon your arrival, met by local guide and escort to local hotel for a short rest. Then go to visit the famous Sunday Market, also known as Sunday Bazaar, the largest international trade market on the northwest boundary line of China. Then back to your hotel. Accommodation: Kashgar
Day 4 Flight to Urumqi, then transfer to Turpan by Private Car(Breakfast+Lunch)
Met at hotel by our local guide and starts today’s tour with Id Kah Mosque, a typical Islamic architecture like domes, minarets and arches, as well as pious prayers. This 500 years old Mosque is the largest mosque in China where 2000-3000 Muslim do their prayers every day. Then go to visit the Abakh Khoja Tomb, an ancient Islamic building complex and a cemetery where five generations of famous Islamic masters were buried. At last transfer to airport for flight to Urumqi. Our guide in Urumqi will meet you at the Airport upon your arrival and escort you to Turpan by private car. Check in at the downtown hotel in Turpan. Day 5 Turpan (Breakfast+Lunch)
Starts today’s tour with Jiaohe Ruins, one of the most important towns along the ancient Silk Road and the largest, oldest and best-preserved earth construction in the world. Then go to visit the Karez Well— an amazing irrigation system which made Turpan a rich oasis which is honored as the “Underground Great Wall”. So it is regarded as the pride of Turpan. The last stop will be Sugong Pagoda, the largest existed ancient Islamic pagoda in Xinjiang which is also known as the Turpan Pagoda among local residents. Then back to hotel. Accommodation: Turpan
Day 6 Turpan to Dunhuang by overnight soft-sleeper train (Breakfast+Lunch)
Today you will visit three famous sites all together. The first stop will be Gaochang Ruins, the ruins of capital of ancient Gaochang Kingdom which existed from 500AD to 700AD and the important transportation hub of western end of China in the Han Dynasty . Then you will go to the Bizaklik Thousand Buddha Cave, a series of caves with thousands of Buddhism murals that show many Buddhism figures, stories, and the social life about 1,500 years ago in Ancient Gaochang Kingdom. (If you travel to Turpan in August or September, you will have the chance to visit theGrape Valleyto taste the sweet grapes). The last stop will be the hottest place along Silk Road in China– the Flaming Hill. The temperature in summer could reach 47.8 ℃. After finished the trip in Turpan , you will be escorted to train station for overnight train to Dunhuang. Accommodation: Overnight Soft Sleeper Train
Day 7 Dunhaung (Lunch)
Upon your arrival at Liuyuan Railway Station. The local guide and driver will pick you up and drive for about 2 hours you will get to Duhuang and go to visit one of the most famous attractions along the Silk Road- the Echoing-Sand Mountain which surrounds Crescent Lake where the blown sand could make the sound just like that made by Chinese orchestral musical instruments when it is windy. When you slide down the slope, you can hear the roaring echo of sands. A short Camel Ridewill leave you a unforgettable memory. Riding along the mountain to reach the Crescent Lake, your eyes will be feasted on the crescent-shaped spring surrounded by the endless Gobi desert. Accommodation: Dunhuang
Day 8 Dunhuang to Xian by flight (Breakfast+Lunch)
Pick up from hotel and head to the Mogao Caves, one of the four most famous caves in China.The grottoes, also know as Caves of the Thousand Buddha, preserve nearly a thousand years of Buddhist cave temple architecture, clay sculpture, mural paintings, and manuscripts, dating from the 5th to the 14th centuries. When you are finished there, transfer to airport to catch the flight to Xian. Upon arrival, met by local guide and driver and escort to hotel in Xian. Accommodation: Xian
Day 9 Xian (Breakfast+Lunch)
In the morning, you will visit the world’s eighth wonder, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. After the Terra Cotta Army tour,drive back to downtown Xian to visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda Scenic Area and the Xian Museum, a significant cultural relic in Xian. Small Wild Goose Pagoda locating near by the South Gate of Xian City Wall is known as the twins sister of Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The Xian Museum located to southwest of Small Wild Goose Pagoda shows lots of relics unearthed in and nearby Xian which reflects history and culture of the city from may respects. Accommodation: Xian
Day 10 Depart from Xian (Breakfast)
In the morning, we will go to visit the City Wall, the best preserved and the largest military defense city wall in China. Tourists could optionally ride bikes on the city wall top. Then transfer to airport to board a flight for your next destination
